Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only film weddings in West Cork?
While we’re based in West Cork and find it hard to leave such a beautiful place, we are happy to travel to ensure you get a wedding film you’ll love of your special day. We don’t charge travel costs for weddings within Cork, but there may be an additional charge for weddings in other counties. Why not get in touch with us and tell us where you are getting married and we’d be happy to discuss this with you.
What is your filming style?
We create documentary style videos that capture your wedding day as naturally as possible. We never want our cameras to disrupt the emotions and feeling of the day so try to stay out of the way as much as possible while ensuring the most important aspects of the day are filmed.
How many videographers should I expect?
Just one! While West Cork Weddings are a husband and wife team, it will only be Adam with you on the day filming. We have found with experience that having just one videographer works perfectly for our film-making approach where we want to be discreet yet still capture what we need to create beautiful, engaging films for our couples.
How long do you stay on our Wedding Day?
From Bride Prep all the way through to a few songs after the first dance! We often stay late at a wedding to make sure we get the best dance moves on camera!
When will I receive my wedding film?
We know that as soon as the day is over you’ll want to relive the day as soon as possible. We usually have the films ready and delivered to you somewhere between eight to twelve weeks depending on what time of year your wedding is.
How will I receive my wedding film?
You will be able to access your wedding highlights film on your own personalised Client Portal for easy sharing with family and friends. We will also post out a USB stick with this film and the other items in your package on it to an address of your choice.
Will you use a drone on my wedding day?
We have a drone and we love to use it, so we include it as standard in our wedding film package. We love how the footage from the air helps to set the scene for your film! We will always try to get a few shots with it during the day and aim to be as discreet in possible when doing so. It is important to note that drone footage is not always possible due to weather conditions or local flight restrictions.
Do you ever deliver RAW footage?
Yes, kind of! We offer an additional add-on to compile all the raw footage into a mini-series. We’ll make sure any unusable footage is removed and export the rest of the footage as 30-40 minute long episodes for you to binge watch when you have time! This will also contain the original audio recorded by the camera so you will be able to see and hear every detail!
